During a recent meeting with a long-time client, of 20 years, we were catching up on life, family, his business, the market, and recent events. We began discussing IU Football’s historic run to the championship. We both commented on the respect that we have for Curt Cignetti and how he runs the program, but something my friend said really stuck with me. He said, he tries to lead his life by one of Cignetti’s quotes: “How you do one thing – is how you do everything.” I wrote the quote down in my meeting notes, to later reflect on its meaning and significance.

Giving our best isn’t just an expectation, it’s how we honor the trust that others place in us. Every interaction, no matter how small, carries weight. Consistency isn’t about perfection; it’s about reliability and the confidence that others place in us. Whether coaching a team, teaching children, or managing client wealth, this really sums up the way you want the world to see you.

My hope is that our effort and dedication to our clients and their families show in every aspect of our relationship, and how we strive to help them navigate life’s transitions, planned and unplanned.

Thank you to my client and friend, and thank you Coach for bringing so much joy and wisdom, on and off the field.

Sincerely,
Chris Quackenbush,  CPFA®
